I grew up on a farm in Central Missouri, and I have never lived anywhere else. Not for a lack of chances — I just never found anywhere I liked more.

In 2023 I married the local weatherman, and then promptly recruited him as my volunteer handyman. We built this studio from the ground up, the two of us.

We have one dachshund, Maggie. I say “we have” as though she isn’t the one running the house. My friends tease me about how much I baby her, and they are right, because she is my child.

A day off is the two of us driving out to a local brewery, or out on the boat at the Lake of the Ozarks, or sitting somewhere with our friends losing track of the whole afternoon. We are happiest with each other and with our people. That is the entire plan.
