Some sessions stick with you—and Haley’s is one I won’t forget anytime soon.

When she walked into the studio, I could instantly feel the mix of nerves and excitement rolling off her. She even laughed and told me she felt a little clammy and sweaty (nerves will do that, right?). But what stood out most? Even with the jitters, you could tell she was ready. Ready to shake things up, ready to show up for herself, and ready to create something magical for herself.

Hair, Makeup & Magic

Haley kicked off her day with hair and makeup by Kaylie (who always works her magic in the best way). Haley chose a smokey eye and a bold look that brought her inner badass straight to the surface—and let me tell you, it showed.

Before we even touched the camera, Haley decided to upgrade her product purchase to a collection, the Silver. Once she saw that even our smallest collection includes the Mobile Gallery App (meaning her images would literally be in her pocket anytime she wanted to see them), she was in. Love that.

“Let’s Push My Comfort Zone”

When it came time for wardrobe, Haley mentioned that she usually sticks with black but was feeling like she wanted to switch things up. She ended up picking two outfits: one she brought from home and one from our in-house complimentary client wardrobe.

I’ll never forget when she held up the purple outfit and said, “I want to push myself out of my comfort zone with this session, so I think I’m going to go with the purple.”

Yes, Haley! It fit her like a glove and photographed like a dream.

Watching the “Nervous to Confident” Shift Happen

The second we started shooting, I could physically see the change in her. Those nerves? Gone. That initial hesitation? Out the window. Within minutes, she trusted me fully—and she was in it. Her confidence was building shot by shot, and honestly, it was one of those sessions where you just know… these images are going to be incredible.

When we wrapped up, Haley was glowing. She couldn’t wait to come back just 90 minutes later for her same-day reveal (one of my favorite parts of the process).

The Hardest (Best) Problem

While Haley grabbed a bite to eat, I got right to editing—honestly, the hardest part of this job is narrowing down the images to the best of the best. I swear, every time I thought I had it down, I’d find another gem.

When Haley came back and saw her gallery, she kept saying, “This is so hard to pick which ones I want to put in my album!” But in the best way, because every photo felt like a favorite.

“You’re the Real Deal”

Before she left, Haley said something that really stuck with me:

“I decided to book with you because when I looked at your work and your pricing, I knew you were the real deal and know what you’re doing when it comes to boudoir. I wanted a high-quality experience, and I could not be happier with how this went. I’ll definitely be coming back into the studio soon for another session.”

Honestly, moments like this are why I love what I do. Watching someone walk in feeling unsure and walk out feeling powerful—that’s the real transformation.

Her products are ordered and on the way, and I cannot wait for her to hold them in her hands and relive the day all over again.
